Crime Stoppers: Robber familiar with store he held up

Police need help identifying a man who robbed a Lexington store.

The robbery happened around 10:30 on the morning of December 10th at the Corner Market on Jefferson Street.

After casing the place, and making sure there were few witnesses, a man waiving a silver handgun, demanded cash from the clerk.

"We don't believe he's linked to any other robbery in the area or county. We believe he's local to the Jefferson Street neighborhood," said Detective Robert Sarantonio.

Officers were out canvassing the area immediately after, looking for the man wearing the gray sweatsuit.

"We're hoping someone can see the surveillance of the robbery and be able to identify him, and let us know who he is, so we can charge him," said Det. Sarantonio.
