Crime Stoppers: Thieves go on joyride, shopping spree

Police say two men who went shopping on stolen credit cards may have committed even more crimes.

Police say the men used stolen credit cards at a number of stores in the Nicholasville Road corridor on December 11, 2011.

The victim says her car was stolen, and her purse with her credit cards was locked up in the trunk that night. Now police say these men may have taken her car on a joyride and then hit the jackpot.

"When they went to get rid of the car, they usually do that before people wake up the next morning. They rummaged through and looked for any valuables," said Det. Robert Sarrantonio with Lexington Police.
