Crime Stoppers: Man spends thousands on stolen credit card

In early February, a man racked up $3,000 worth of charges on a stolen credit card. Officers say the card was stolen when someone broke into a car parked at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, taking a purse.

"Please do not leave personal items, especially purses or wallets, in your car. These are exactly the things these crooks are looking for. They're going to pick your car because its an easy target," said Detective Rob Sarrantonio.

Sarrantonio says the person with the stolen cards hit several stores including Dillards, CVS, Office Depot and Walgreens. Police say these criminals are likely to strike again. They want everyone to take precautions.

"The harder it is the less likely they'll hit your vehicle."

Anyone with information can contact Bluegrass Crime Stoppers at 859-253-2020 or 1-877-970-2020. You can also leave tips online.
