COVINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Some Kentucky cable customers will be losing the NFL Network as Time Warner pulls the football channel from the lineup provided to former Insight customers over a disagreement on pricing.
The Kentucky Enquirer reports (http://cin.ci/MK8CY7 ) that the channel will go dark on Tuesday night when the NFL Network's contract expires with Insight cable, which was bought earlier this year by Time Warner. Insight has customers in northern Kentucky, Lexington and Louisville.
Michael Hogan, a spokesman for Time Warner, the nation's second biggest cable system operator, said the price is too high for a network "willing to guarantee just a handful of live games."
The NFL Network said in a statement that they weren't asking for new terms, but to extend the current agreement for five years.
