HAZARD, Ky (WYMT) - Other efforts are underway in the community to help folks struggling to put food on the table.

The Hazard Health and Rehabilitation Center is collecting food to help stock local church's food banks.

Anyone is welcome to donate, even businesses, but the staff is making a competition out of it.

Whichever unit collects the most non perishable food wins a pizza party.

Administrator Charlotte Hayes said this is a great chance for them to give back to those in need.

"We are a part of this community and our employees are out there. It just gives a good motivation to the employees to know that they are helping someone else," said Hayes.

The center will be collecting food until October 1st.
