HAZARD, Ky (WYMT) - If you are looking for something to do this weekend, there is a motorcycle ride you might want to check out.

The event, which is a fundraiser for the Kentucky State Police's summer camp Trooper Island, is this Saturday.

Trooper Jody Sims said the event starts at the Perry County Park before heading to London, then Booneville before coming back to Hazard.

"It gives us an opportunity to have a positive influence and interaction with the children that might not always see us in that light," said Sims.

Registration starts at 9 a.m. at the park.

Sims expects the ride to take about three hours.

We should also mention this ride is in honor of Trooper Tim Moore, who died in 2009.
