Lexington Police are looking for a man they say broke into stores in a strip mall over the course of several days.
Police say between April 23 and May 3, the man broke into stores four times at a strip mall on Versailles Road, near Red Mile.
"When they're going in, they're mainly taking cash of the register," Lexington Police Det. Rob Sarrantonio said of the suspect. "The stores were leaving cash in registers overnight, something we've instructed them not to do."
With the stolen cash, police say the suspect would often walk to the Thornton's on Versailles Road. Police are hoping the store's video will provide a better look at the suspect and his jacket.
"Black hooded jacket with flames on the sides and back upper shoulder," Sarrantonio said.
Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 cash reward for information leading to an arrest in the case. If you have a tip, call Crime Stoppers at 859-253-2020. It's a free call, and it's anonymous.
