Police are looking for a man who burglarized a Lexington car wash before making a clean get-away.
On September 18th of last year, police say a man pried his way into the Mr. Sparkle Car Wash on Collins Lane around midnight. Officers say it looked like he knew exactly where to go to find what he wanted.
"He forced his way into an office and stole a cash-box with about $1500 cash inside," said Lexington Police Detective Robert Sarrantonio.
Sarrantonio says that money was set to be divided by employees. While owners and managers don't recognize the thief, police say the suspect still may have some sort of connection to the car wash.
"We don't know if it's a former employee, or possibly a person that was somehow connected to an employee or third party."
