A telethon Sunday afternoon on WKYT helped raise money for an important cause.

The annual Crime Stoppers Telethon brought in $9,500 for the organization. Crime Stoppers also raises money through an annual shootout and golf event.

Crime Stoppers allows members of the community to report crime tips anonymously. Money raised will help reward tipsters for information leading to arrests.
