Police want to know whose responsible for dozens of car vandalisms that have happened in Lexington in the last two days. Crime Stoppers is now offering a reward in this case for information regarding the vandalisms.
Sharie Ingram woke up this morning to an unwanted surprise when it came to her vehicle.
"The back window was gone and the neighbor down the street lost their back window. It's not good", says Sharie Ingram.
Sgt. Jody Stowers with Lexington Police say their vehicles weren't the only ones that had their windows busted out, possibly with a bb gun.
"We started receiving reports today, and haven't received them all. I believe there will be more of criminal mischief. This happened in areas such as Laredo Drive, Hartland Parkway, and the Clearwater Way area", says Sgt. Jody Stowers.
This comes a day after other car vandalisms in Lexington where at least 25 vehicles had their tires slashed.
"Lexington Police responded to multiple incidents of criminal mischief in the Pickaway neighborhood. That area includes streets such as Toronto, Maritoba, and Fox Basin", says Sgt. Stowers.
So far, police say more than thirty vehicles have been vandalized. Now Crime Stoppers is offering a reward in the case.
"Right now there are no leads or suspects and that's why we're looking to the public to help us find the criminals and we are offering a cash reward through the Crime Stoppers program", says Sgt. Stowers.
Police say the only way to get a reward in this case is to simply give Crime Stoppers a call. That number is 859-253-2020 and you could be rewarded up to $1,000 dollars if your information leads to an arrest. Its an anonymous call.
Police say whoever is responsible will face criminal mischief charges.
