Man's burned body found by road; Reward being offered for information

It was a gruesome discovery for Lexington Police and the Fire Department.

On August 15th they were called to the 2000 block of Russell Cave Road after a homeowner discovered someone next to a driveway. Authoritie say that man's body had been burned.

It took them days to identify the man, which they say was 39-year-old Victor Lamont Martin, a resident of Fayette County, but police are still looking for whoever is responsible for this homicide.

"We are looking for any information that could lead us to a suspect in this case and anyone with information of what led up to Victor Martin's death," says Detective Franz Wolff.

Police are hoping someone knows what may have happened to Victor Martin and are asking them to come forward.

"In conjunction with the family and with the Division of Police we're seeking any information we can get to ultimately solve this investigation," says Detective Franz Wolff.
