Crime Stoppers: Man goes on shopping spree with stolen credit card

He racked up thousands of dollars in charges on a stolen credit card.

Now, thanks to some newly released surveillance video, Lexington Police hope you'll recognize a man they say went an illegal shopping spree.

Police say the man made more than $5,000 worth of charges on a stolen Home Depot credit card.

They say between April 28 and May 3, the suspect went to several Home Depot stores to rack up the charges.

"What the person did was go in and buy metal, spools of metal, and what that person did was take them to a scrap metal shop," Lexington Police Detective Rob Sarrantonio said.

Police say the man probably got hundreds of dollars in cash from selling the metal.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 cash reward for information leading to an arrest in this case. You can call 859-253-2020 to provide tips. It's a free call, and it's anonymous.
