Crime Stoppers: Family seeks justice after two brothers murdered

It is a difficult loss for one family.

Two brothers were shot and killed, more than two years apart.

Now, their family is pleading with the public to come forward with information to help solve the murders.

Three months ago, Lexington Police say Micole Dent had just left a nightclub on Fortune Drive, when two men wearing bandannas over their faces came from the side of the building, shooting him dozens of times.

Micole Dent's brother, Quinn Dent, was gunned down in September 2008 at the corner of East Second and Spruce Streets in Lexington.

Police have not made arrests in either case.

"It's hard to console someone who's lost two children," LaFleesha Patton, a cousin of both victims, said. "Especially in this tragic matter."

Patton is begging the community to come forward with information, saying arrests are the only way her family will get closure.

"Take back the community, bring these heartless criminals to justice," Patton said.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to arrests in these cases. Call Crime Stoppers at 859-253-2020. It's a free call, and it's anonymous.
