Police in two counties are looking for a woman who was caught on tape using credit cards stolen during a burglary at a home.
On June 24, police say the woman used the credit cards at a department store on Tiverton Way in Lexington.
The credit cards were stolen during a burglary at a Jessamine County home.
Now, police in Jessamine County and Lexington have teamed up, hoping to find the woman.
"We're not sure if the person using the cards is actually the person who committed the burglary," Lexington Police Det. Robert Sarantonio said. "We do believe there is a connection."
Police say the burglary happened a week before the credit cards were used. The homeowner didn't realize the credit cards had even been stolen until a big bill arrived.
"Sometimes people have credit cards in places around the house they don't carry with them," Sarantonio said. "That's something we always do following a burglary, stress taking an inventory."
Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 cash reward for information leading to an arrest in this case.
