Crime Stoppers: Hundreds of video games stolen

It was merchandise meant to go in a store, but instead, Lexington Police say thieves stole hundreds of video games from trailers before they even reached the shelves.

Lexington Police say on the night of October 15, the person or people inside a gray conversion van broke into two trailers on Bizzell Drive.

The trailers were filled with video games, tagged and ready to be sold at WalMart.

"We're hoping someone will recognize the van, or if someone stole that many video games, they're probably trying to sell them on the street to people in the community," Lexington Police Det. Robert Sarrantonio said.

More than 200 Batman Arkham Asylum video games for both Playstations and Xboxes were taken. Police estimate the value to be in the thousands of dollars.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 cash reward for information leading to an arrest in this case.
