Man accused of viewing child porn in Knox County library's children's section

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) - A man is facing charges after police say he was caught looking at child porn in a Knox County library.

Barbourville Police say library workers saw Joshua Hampton, 20, looking at the images on the computer in the library's children's section. They called police, but Hampton left. Police then started their investigation with that computer. However, police say Hampton came back another day and did the same thing.

They arrested him Saturday.

"The library in the children's section to view something like this, not only is it bad in of itself that they're breaking a law in doing something this terrible but they would be potentially exposing the children to what they're viewing as well," said Detective Steve Owens with the Barbourville Police Department.

Hampton is now in jail, held on a $10,000 cash bond.
