Bomb squad responds to scare at Bowling Green courthouse

A scare on Friday at a Kentucky courthouse has left one man to face charges because of it.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A scare on Friday at a Kentucky courthouse has left one man to face charges because of it.

The Warren County Sheriff's Office arrested 69 year old Glen Leonard.

They say this afternoon, he showed up at the Warren County Justice Center with a large trunk.

When security officers asked him to open it, they say he refused and assaulted the officers.

The FBI and the state police bomb squad were called in.

They say the trunk had electronics, a timer, and other personal items inside.

Police charged Leonard with assault and terroristic threatening.
