Lexington Police say thieves broke into an abandoned warehouse during the weekend of October 2nd and 3rd.

The Maxine LLC on Palumbo Drive was burglarized. They say thieves made their way into the warehouse forcing their way into a side door, then stealing plenty of copper.

"They stripped wiring from inside the warehouse..a lot of wiring going to the fuse boxes and stuff. They also stripped alot of plastic off the copper wiring", says Det. Rob Sarrantonio with Lexington Police.

Police say whoever is responsible also took a ladder in the warehouse making their way to the roof.

"Stripped copper from the air conditioning units, causing damage to ten AC units on the roof", says Det. Rob Sarrantonio.

They also damaged the bathrooms as well. The total cost of the burglary was over $100,000, with almost a ton of copper being stolen and damage left behind in the warehouse.

I have no clue as to who these men are, but it looks as though they were not wearing gloves, is there a way of getting fingerprints? Also some one stole this copper in hopes of cashing it in, who has had some one come in to cash this copper in, drivers license is required to sell copper, at least where I cash these things in. Seems like there had to be something left behind police can use to nail these idiot's.
