Police say he's stealing credit cards from womens purses, then spending thousands of dollars on the cards, and it's all caught on tape in this week's Crime of the Week.

Between October and November of last year Lexington Police say a man went into several busineses and buildings in Lexington, such as UK Hospital, Bluegrass Community & Technical College, and an office building on Corporate Drive. While inside, they say he was looking for one thing.

"He usually looks for rooms where there is nobody inside and looks for womens purses and bags and removes the credit cards from the wallets inside of those bags", says Detective Rob Sarrantonio with Lexington Police.

That man is then caught on camera using those stolen cards, spending thousands of dollars.

"He's a white male, 40-50 years old, reddish hair, balding, and slightly heavyset", says Detective Rob Sarrantonio.

Now police are hoping you can tell them who it is. Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 cash reward for information that leads to an arrest in this case. Call Crime Stoppers at 859-253-2020. They only want your information, not your name.
