Crime Stoppers: Police searching for forgery suspect

Lexington Police say he's forging checks around town and is caught on camera at the H&M Market do it.

They say, so far, he's responsible for cashing at least a dozen forged checks.

"He's hitting all around town. Basically what he's done, he's purchased check stock and he's creating checks. He's going and printing off checks with different businesses as the payee of the checks", says Detective Eric Hobson with Lexington Police.

So far the man has racked up close to two-thousand dollars.

"Most of the checks are around $150. So far he's done 12 checks in the central Kentucky area. Ten have been done in Lexington", says Detective Hobson.
