Crime Stoppers: Police think robber lives near crime scene

In the early morning hours of December 3, 2011, police say a man held up the clerk working at the shell on South Limestone in Lexington.

Police say the suspect was wearing a black bubble jacket, black or gray hoodie and black pants. He also had a mustache and some facial hair on his chin.

After grabbing the cash from the clerk, police say the robber ran down Gazette Avenue.

"It's believed the suspect is in the area. He fled down a side street next to the business after the robbery and there's also pending robbery investigations that are similar with the same suspect descriptions," said Det. Franz Wolff, with Lexington Police.

Police are hoping you know who this man is. Anyone with information can contact Bluegrass Crime Stoppers at 859-253-2020 or 1-877-970-2020. You can also leave tips online at http://bluegrasscrimestoppers.com
