Crime Stoppers: Police looking for robber of check-cashing business

On October 16th, around 9:15 in the morning, Lexington Police say a man makes a stop at the Check Exchange on North Broadway where an employee is waiting on a customer.

"She observed a black male enter the store. He had on a black hoodie and white mask. He walked in the front door," says Detective William Persley.

The man jumps on the counter and demands money from the employee, pointing a silver handgun at her.

"She was on the phone at the time. He asked her what she was doing and who she was talking to and she said a customer," says Detective Persley.

The man not only gets the cash, but also the video that catches him on camera committing the crime. Police are hoping you may know whose responsible.

"He's described as a black male, early to mid-twenties, slim build," says Detective Persley.
