It was the day before Christmas when two men entered the Stop-N-Shop on Winburn Drive with no intentions of buying anything.

"Two black males. Both about 6'0" to 6'1", 170 pounds, they had dark jackets. One stood in the door and guarded the door. The other ran in and jumped over the counter," says Detective Elizabeth Adams with Lexington Police.

The incident is caught on camera. You see the man jump the counter. He then demands money from the manager and becomes violent.

"He took out a silver handgun and hit the manager in the head and demanded money. The manager said 'You're on video' and the guy ran out of the store," says Detective Adams.

However, he may have come back the very next day.

"The manager called me and said the next day, which is Christmas, the suspect who jumped the counter may have come in the store without his hat and hoodie," says Detective Adams.

Police are now looking for that man, caught on surveillance, who they'd like to question in this case. Police are hoping you know who it is.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 cash reward for information leading to an arrest in this case. Call crime stoppers today at 859-253-2020. It's a free call and it's anonymous.
