Deputies are investigating, after they say a wheelchair-bound woman and her 13-year-old daughter was robbed.
It happened around 4 p.m. Wednesday at the woman's home on Ky. 746 in Wellington.
The Menifee County Sheriff tells WKYT a someone the family somewhat knows, 28-year-old Danny Prater, was looking in the window of the home. We're told the teen saw the man and opened the door to ask what he was up to. Police say the man told the teen he was selling a television, but the mother said she didn't want one.
That's when we're told Prater opened the front door to a second man the family does not know. They say the men took the woman's purse with a cell phone, person items and medication inside. We're told the men shoved the woman out of the way and ran out of the home.
Police have issued a warrant for Prater on a charge of complicity to commit burglary.
Investigators aren't sure who the second man is, but he's described as 6-feet tall, with short, dirty-blonde hair, and a scruffy beard. Police tell us he was wearing a black or dark blue cut up t-shirt, wearing black shorts and had tattoos on his legs. We're told the men took off in a 90's model dark blue mustang with racing stripes on the top.
