Deputy says argument over money leads to stabbing in Jessamine County

JESSAMINE COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A Nicholasville man is in jail after deputies say an argument over money ended with someone being stabbed.

Jessamine County sheriff's deputies arrested 30-year old Christopher Kaverman early Sunday morning. He's charged with first-degree assault and first-degree wanton endangerment.

The sheriff's office says it was called to LeeDeans Circle just before midnight Saturday night for a report of a stabbing.

Deputies tell us Kaverman was behind the wheel, arguing over the phone with 25-year-old Jeremy Royse over money. Investigators say Kaverman first drove his car towards Royse who was standing in the road, then got out of his car and stabbed him in the stomach.

Royse was taken to UK hospital for his injuries which are believed to be non-life threatening.
