EKU police investigating armed robbery at student dorm

RICHMOND, Ky., (WKYT) Eastern Kentucky University police say two men, armed with handguns, robbed three students in a Clay Hall dorm room about 11 p.m. Sunday.

Campus police are asking students to be on guard and stay in groups of three or more people while they search for the suspected robbers.

Krissie Hogan, an EKU junior, says many students worry the crime may happen again.

"A lot of students have been running around like chickens with their heads cut off. A lot of them have been frantic, but I think our police will step up and put extra safety measures in place and show us that we are safe," she said.

Police say the suspected robbers wore white masks and black clothes when they robbed the students.
