An elementary school in Lincoln County was put on lockdown Wednesday, after a man went missing following a police pursuit.

The Lincoln County Sheriff's office tells us the man is not considered armed or dangerous.

We're told Stanford Police first tried to pull the man over for a traffic violation Tuesday night on Highway 150W. Police say the man didn't pull over, and a chase ensued. It ended on Carmen's Lane, when we're told the man jumped out of the rolling vehicle and ran into the county.

Wednesday morning, officers say they were trying to pull over a separate car around U.S. 27 and U.S. 150 around 11 a.m. for a seat belt violation. Police say they recognized one of the passengers as the suspect from the night before. Three men were in the vehicle, including the suspect.

We're told another pursuit began when the driver didn't pull over, and later crashed on Boone Road. That's when we're told the three men bailed from the car and ran into a field. The two other men were located and arrested. The third is on the run now.

Police say they know who the man is, and warrants are being issued for his arrest.

Crab Orchard Elementary was put on lockdown as a precaution while police searched for the third man. He is still on the loose now.
