Most Wanted: Arrest made after woman is wanted for assault

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The Fayette County Sheriff's Office arrested Lashanda Lightfoot today. A warrant was issued for her arrest after police say she got into an accident while under the influence, injuring the passenger in her car.

Police reports show Lightfoot was driving under the influence when she hit another car back in April. There was another woman in the car when the accident happened, police said. The passenger was transported to the hospital because police said her head hit the dashboard. The passenger ended up with a fractured skull and concussion. Police put out a warrant for second degree assault for Lightfoot.

When sheriff's deputies showed up at her listed address today, she answered the door and was arrested without incident, charged with second degree assault.
