PADUCAH, Ky. (AP) - A Paducah man who pleaded guilty to reckless homicide in the shooting death of a 3-year-old boy has been sentenced to five years in prison.
The Paducah Sun (http://bit.ly/16xmsCh) reports Nicholas Barbee said during his sentencing hearing on Wednesday that he thinks about the accidental shooting every day.
Barbee apologized for his "stupid" actions, but said he realized that wasn't enough.
The charge stems from the death of Braydion Matlock on Feb. 9, who was the son of his girlfriend.
The newspaper reports he will be eligible for shock probation in 30 days.
