Police K9 tackles Lexington burglary suspect

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Police make a quick arrest after an attempted break-in at a Lexington business.

Early Wednesday morning, police say someone saw a man trying to break into the back door of The Castle on New Circle Road near North Broadway.

A canine officer was one of the first to arrive at the scene, along with his partner. Police say Joseph Siletta ignored several commands from the officer before the canine was released. The police dog bit Siletta, bringing him to the ground.

Siletta was taken to the hospital to be treated for the dog bite before being booked in jail. He's charged with criminal attempt to commit burglary.
