Police arrest man for murder outside Domino's in Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WKYT) - Police have made an arrest for a murder after a robbery at a Domino's in Bowling Green.

On Monday night, Bowling Green Police announced they had arrested 20-year-old John Paul Shobe in the case.

Police say shortly after the murder, they came into contact with Shobe while searching the area. After a brief pursuit, police say they arrested Shobe, and charged him with giving officers a false name, and fleeing and evading.

After getting a search warrant to search Shobe's home, police say they found enough evidence to charge Shobe with the murder and robbery.

Police say the robbery happened just after the store closed at midnight. They say Shobe robbed the store on Stonehenge Avenue at gunpoint. A man was later found dead just outside the store. Police have identified the victim as 51-year-old Harold Dean Johnson.

Police say they determined the shooting happened after the robbery. They say Johnson was employed by Domino's at a separate location.
