TOPMOST, Ky (WYMT) - Do you recognize the people in this video?

That is what Kentucky State Police want to know following a gas station burglary in Knott County.

May Newsome is the owner of Big 'S' Market in Topmost and she said she is hoping surveillance video will help catch the culprits.

Three thieves were caught on tape breaking into the Big 'S' Market back on August 14th.

"Most of the time, it is the same thing. They break in the doors. Tobacco is normally what they are after, the costlier things," said Newsome.

Kentucky State Police said if you recognize one of the burglars, you should call them.

"We have a really good security system and we have a lot of good footage on this. I am hoping maybe this will help," said Newsome.

Newsome said she thinks it was someone familiar with the store that broke in because it took them longer to pick which door to enter through than it did to steal the items inside.

Police said two men and one woman made off with cigarettes and one case of knives.

Newsome had a simple message for the burglars.

"I would I say work seven days a week here and I try to be good to everybody. I do not think we deserve this," said Newsome.

The break-in occurred around 4 in the morning, which is when the store is closed.

If you recognize anyone in the video, you should call Kentucky State Police Post 13.
