SPENCER CO, Ky. (WKYT) - A man who admitted to killing a UK football player now faces a new order of protection against him.
The Spencer County Clerk says Christopher Allen filed a domestic protection petition against Shane Ragland on behalf of Allen's children.
According to the petition, Allen says Ragland abused the mother of children tried to stop it, Ragland allegedly hit the child.
A judge issued a protection order yesterday requiring Ragland have no contact with the children.
Last year, Ragland's girlfriend filed an emergency protective order against him, but later asked it to be lifted.
Ragland pleaded guilty to manslaughter and served time in prison for the 1994 shooting death of UK football player Trent DiGiuro.
