Suspect sought in Laurel Co. driveway scam

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Police are searching for a man they say tried to scam an older woman out of thousands of dollars.

Deputies say Saul Boswell went to the woman's home and told her he would patch her driveway for about $50.

They say the woman, who doesn't see well, asked him to fill out the check, when he was finished.

He's accused of writing $5,000, instead of $50, then trying to cash the check.

The bank tellers were suspicious, and notified the sheriff's office.
