HAVANA (AP) - Famed Cuban troubadour Silvio Rodriguez says authorities have reversed their decision to bar another singer from performing in state-run venues because of his bold lyrics at a concert last week.

Rodriguez writes on his blog that Culture Ministry officials met Tuesday with Robertico Carcasses. He reports that the conversation was positive and they rescinded the sanction.

Carcasses said Monday via Facebook that the performance ban had been imposed for an indefinite period. It came after a nationally televised concert where he sang of his desire for a direct presidential vote.

Carcasses could not immediately be reached by phone at his home Wednesday.
