Southern Kentucky Church Destroyed By Fire

A southern Kentucky couple that pastor a church say they've been the target of a hate crime.

Fire destroyed the Jesus Christ Chapel in Wayne County early this morning.

The cause is under investigation, but the ministers think it was no accident.

Pastors Cornelius and Maggie Anna Duncan say they're used to threats and criminal acts against them.

A year ago they say threats against them scared away their congregation at Jesus Christ Chapel. Now the church is completely gone, destroyed in a fire they think is suspicious.

Cornelius Duncan says he was remodeling the church and putting in new electrical wiring. He was hoping to re-open the church for worship in a few weeks.

The Duncans say the church was not insured, but they will rebuild.

whoever burns a church or anything related to the lord should have to have a very serious punishment and beg for mercy from the good lord to forgive them and get the awful demons out of them.if they have a problem with someone they need to work it out with that person and not take it out on the church or the lord.
