Supreme Court Halts Execution

The execution of a death row inmate in Texas has been stopped because of a lawsuit filed by two convicted killers from Kentucky.

The U.S. Supreme Court is set to hear as appeal from Ralph Baze and Thomas Clyde Bowling who argue lethal injection is unconstitutional.

They claim the mixture of drugs used to kill inmates can lead to excruciating pain, which could be considered cruel.

The U.S. Supreme Court halted Carlton Turner Junior's execution in Texas until the issue is resolved.
