Former Lexington Football Star Sentenced Today

Today was sentencing day for a former Lexington Catholic High School football star who pleaded guilty to raping a young teen.

Cornell Burbage pleaded guilty last year to second degree rape and sodomy charges.

Today, he was sentenced for those crimes.

Investigators say his victim was a 13-year old girl.

Before his arrest, Burbage was recruited by New Mexico State.

There's no word yet on how long Burbage will spend behind bars for the crime.
