Strip Search Hoax Trial Headed For Closing Arguments

SHEPHERDSVILLE, Ky. (AP) - The civil case against McDonald's stemming from a strip search of an employee is nearly to the jury. Closing arguments in the case are scheduled to begin today.

The trial has been through four weeks of videotapes, testimony about memos and warnings and evaluations of a young woman's mental state.

Louise Ogborn, now 21, sued the fast-food giant, claiming McDonald's failed to warn her and other employees about a series of hoax phone calls around the country.

Ogborn is also suing former assistant managers Donna Summers and Kim Dockery.

She is seeking $200 million.

Ogborn was 18 and working at the Mount Washington McDonald's restaurant in April 2004 when she was detained and forced to strip after a man called the store, claiming he was investigating a theft.
