World's Smallest Dog Lives In Kentucky

A world record holder has been found living in north-eastern Kentucky.

The world's smallest dog, a chihuahua named Boo Boo, stands only four inches tall.

Her owner is a woman in Greenup County. She says she knew Boo Boo was special, but it wasn't until a few weeks ago she realized just how special.

Boo Boo's world record small stature has been certified by the Guinness Book Of World Records.

She's nearly an inch shorter than the previous record holder.

I just wanted to add I think papillons are beautiful dogs, and I am not offended that someone thinks she is a papillon, however since I raised her parents, grandparents, etc. I just wanted to set the record straight.

This dog is MOST DEFINITELY A PAPILLON! NO EXCEPTIONS! I highly doubt that it is even a crossbreed with a chihuahua. By the way, I've owned both breeds.

There is a great website where i found my 2 littlew girl pas. It is called and it is very user friendly. There is no fee to log on and all the different puppies on it are so fun to look at. You can find a puppy by your state.

I have 9 papillons, yes, this dog looks like a pap but my paps get called l/h chich's all the time. My dogs are my kids now too, since my real kids are grown and gone. Our son is a cop so bad people who say bad things are dead I want to have arrested! We built a 3700 sq ft house. Our dogs have their own room and sleep on heated mattresses. Boys and Girls each have their own stroller we talk w/us when they get too tired. When our son came home from IRAQ these dogs are the only thing that made him smile and they were a great communication tool so technically they saved his life and I will do anything to show them my appreciation. My son was not really a dog peron before but noe he has 2 boxers and treats them like kids! They have their own room at his house, too. So all you bad people who say bad things about dogs- you better be nice when you come face to face with one who can small your anger!
