Incident At Boyle Co. Home Leaves Country Star Shaken

Some may say Eddie and Tracy Montgomery are living the dream. Eddie is half of the multi-platinum selling country group Montgomery Gentry.
He's used to the spotlight, but when it comes to Montgomery's family it's a different story. Recently an incident outside the Montgomery's Central Kentucky home has Eddie fearful for his family's safety.

Earlier this week neighbors say they spotted a green mini-van parked outside the couple's Boyle County farm. Eddie and Tracey say the same van was also seen following a school bus while their children were onboard. Then one day when the Montgomery's 11 year old son stepped off his bus someone in the van yelled out. Montgomery says the strangers in the van called his son by name. Terrified, the boy ran down his driveway and into the house.

Police say they looked into the situation and say the two men in the van were just star struck fans and don't have a criminal record. Still Eddie says they're not sure what the men were up to. The Montgomerys say they just want other parents to be on the look out for anything unusual happening in the area.
When it comes to fans, Eddie says he welcomes them talking to him but not his children.

I grew up in Boyle Co, have been gone for 20 years, and can't wait to get back. This "vile" place you speak of, Bart, is HOME to me and I implore you to find a city of comparable size and stats with a lower crime rate. Sorry you've been dealt a bad hand; perhaps you should consider relocating. It would also behoove those with negative remarks about the method by which the Montgomery's choose to get their kids from Point A to Point B to remember that underneath it all, they are "real" people just like you,me and Joe Blow, who probably want little more than to maintain a degree of normalcy in their lives. I applaud them for allowing their kids to attend public school and do the things any other kid would do. While I agree you can never be too careful in this day and age, to question their choices is moot and franky, none of our darned business. I've never met the Montgomery's, though I hear they are extremely gracious.

I am shocked that nothing was really done when whoever it was in the van clearly knew the childs's name, as well as knowing it was Eddie Montgomery's son. That alone tells me that the people in the van aren't the normal fans that most of us are, and that maybe they are out to try to get more than the normal autograph. Very scary indeed!!! There is something here that I can not understand at all... and that is why some people on here are attacking the Montgomery's with their words. Not sure why at all that is happening. They are some of the most kind, caring people who will do anything in their power to help someone in need. The fact that a couple of you guys feel the need to attack the Montgomery's just tells me that you are indeed very very sad people.

As for their name Montgomery appearing on their entrance wall..... COME on people! How many entrances on the road do you see displaying the owners name? Eddie Montgomery has worked hard to be able to finally afford an entrance displaying his name. He's proud of his accomplishments and who are you to judge him for Montgomery being on his entrance. Do you drive by peoples homes that have their name displayed and say that about them? Are they not allowed any privacy just because he makes a living doing something he worked hard for all his life? Because they don't choose to live behind body guards and limos their cheap and irresponsible. Before you throw stones you better look at your own life. The Montgomerys love their children and would never put them in harms way. I guess all the children in the US that have been stolen from their famlies you judge them also... I sure hope not as harshly as you have the Montgomerys! God bless every child that is missing from their home!

After reading some of these posts,,,I think that the village is missing some of their idiots,,,,,I think that before some of you start running your mouths you need to get the facts straight! I do know that The Montgomery's love living where they do and are very very proud to live in Boyle County. Eddie has worked EXTREMELY hard to get to where he is today,,,and just because he is who he is,,that does not give anybody any right to stalk/approach his children,,especially an 11 year old. This just makes me wonder what the mind set of these guys were,,and what the mind set of anybody else that thinks that there is nothing wrong with what happened. The Montgomery's do so much for their community and for them to get slammed in some of these posts is just appalling to me!!! You should be ashamed of yourselves!!

As for being cheap.....I did't know that riding the bus made you cheap, poor or any different than the next kid that rides the bus! Should they take a Limo to school each day? Would that make you feel like they weren't cheap? No that would make you say we were flaunting what you assume we have so much of (money)!!!! Can we not live a normal life like you and can't our children not be normal kids like yours? Why because their father decided to sing and became known nationally they shouldn't ride the bus with your child? How judgmental is that????? Eddie has never turned down an autograph that I can remember nor has he ever treated anyone different than we expect to be treated. But please don't scare the crap out of our child. Would you not be concerned if a van pulled up at your house and tried to get your child to come over to it? Also for the record if anyone cares we were at home when he got off the bus, like we are whenever he rides the bus!

Blackwater Bart? You'd better be careful the next time you drag an American flag down the street at a parade in Boyle Co. then, they may confuse you for an attacker :)

Well if he is going to live in Boyle County, he should hire Blackwater.

Hey Bart, can the Montgomerys move in with you and your mom. They could live in the basement with you.
