UK Safety Alert After Early Morning Assault

UK students are on alert today after a female student says she was assaulted.

It happened along Huguelet Drive around early Monday morning.

The student says she was sprayed in the face with an unknown substance, believed to be pepper spray, and then forced to the ground.

The victim suffered injuries to the face.

Police have a limited description of the suspect.

    You just wait, Chief Tony gonna make it all better. Until then may I suggest you carry a firearm or some other type of weapon that you know how to use.

    I hope this young lady is ok, but I must ask the question...does this lack of campus security help UK toward "Top 20" status? I'm thinking maybe Top 20 UN-Safest Schools...For God's sake, put some patrols out. You sure seem to care a whole big bunch when it comes to defending students getting drunk and trashing surrounding neighborhoods. Is that more important than safety?
