KNA Gets Support From Other Organizations

As the second week of the Kentucky and West Virginia Nurses Association strike against Appalachian Regional Healthcare draws to a close, members of the Kentucky Education Association and the United Mine Workers of America pledge their support for nurses on strike.

KEA officials say they voted to officially announce their support of the strike.

UMWA officials say they have quote '100 percent support' for striking nurses at ARH.

I think that everyone in the community should support the nurses in their quest for better patient care. Additionally, someone should be concerned about the condition of the building at the Hazard ARH--the build is bad need of cleaning from top to bottom. The community should be proud of their local hospital. Instead--you hear comments like "send me somewhere else" or "I don't want to go there." Again support our local nurses!
