A well-known eastern Kentucky pastor is suddenly gone.

Reverend Clayburn Johnson was just 49 years old when family members say he collapsed in a doctor's office and died.

Johnson was a minister for more than 27 years and they believe his message will live on.

Brother Clayburn Johnson wasn't a pastor that stayed inside the comfort of the walls of the church building.

His brother Roy, who started pastoring just two years after Clay, says his ministry was for anyone...anywhere.

Brother Johnson Pastored the Vicco Church of God in Perry County and he always led the congregation and community for the National Day of Prayer in Hazard.

It's was his enthusiasm to spread God's word, that family members and fellow ministers say will be missed the most.

Clayburn Johnson may be gone, but his brother says he left behind a legacy for God.

Family members say Johnson may have died of heart disease, but the autopsy is still pending.

All funeral services will be at the Vicco Church of God.

Visitation for Clayburn Johnson will be Saturday after six o'clock and all day Sunday.

The funeral will be Monday at 11:00am.
