UK Now Eighth In AP Poll After Upsetting LSU

LEXINGTON, KY -- The latest Associated Press National College Football standings are out... and the University of Kentucky has been restored to its number eight ranking of two weeks ago.

The Cats fell to 17th following the loss to South Carolina but the resounding upset of the nation's top team, the LSU Tigers, revitalized the team's standing as one of the top ten teams in the nation. LSU was toppled from its top ranking falling to number five. The USA Today poll put Kentucky at 13th, and also ranked LSU at fifth.

The last minute, last ditch defensive standing ending the game at 43 to 37 after three overtimes sent sporting shock waves around the nation, with fans and students alike rushing the field. The celebration continued into late night.
