Couple Escapes Burning Home

An Estill County couple woke up to smoke in their home and escaped just in time.

Flames broke out early Monday morning inside the trailer on Freds Lane off Kentucky 52 near the Madison County line.

By the time firefighters arrived Monday, the trailer was fully engulfed in flames.

Once on the scene, firefighters upgraded the fire to two alarms.

The couple inside was not injured.

Arson investigators will be on the scene Monday morning to determine what caused the fire.
