Frankfort Escapees Apprehended In Floyd County

MCDOWELL, KY -- Kentucky State Police report the two men who escaped from the Frankfort Career Development Center, a state minimum security in Franklin County, have been arrested in Floyd County.

The pair apparently walked away from the facility, which is next to the Franklin County Regional Detention Center, around 8 p.m. Oct. 13.

Police say 23-year old John Case, who was serving time for robbery, and 21-year old Joey Collins, who was serving time for burglary and theft, were arrested at a residence in McDowell without incident.

State police Trooper Scott Hopkins did not know who lived at the residence where the men were found.

The Frankfort Career Development Center trains inmates with the goal of helping them return to the workforce.
