Child Sexual Predator Sting A Success

13 percent of children will be sexually solicited online.

It's a startling statistic, and local law enforcement agencies are working to rid our area of this problem.

Several Kentucky Law Enforcement agencies teamed up with the Watchdog Group Perverted Justice for a child sexual predators sting, and it was a major success.

From Thursday to Sunday of this week, a room at the Bowling Green Police Department was transformed into a command center.

Throughout the sting, a house in Warren County was monitored for child predators, who were lured in by an officer posing as a 13-year-old girl.

The message police are hoping to spread, is that no matter where you live, children are in danger of online predators.

Seven people were arrested in the sting.

Five were from Tennessee, one from Indiana, and another from Marshall County Kentucky.

Attorney General Greg Stumbo made the announcement this morning at a news conference in Bowling Green.

Law agencies, including the Warren County Sheriff's Office and the Warren County Commonwealth Attorney's office, teamed up with Perverted Justice for the sting.

It never seems to stop amazing me with all the ludicrous stuff that is posted and hits this site. I think that the sickest thing a grown person can do is to commit a crime against a defenseless child. We are here to help nuture and raise them and there are those that just want to rape and torture them. What is your problem? Where you done this way as a child or are you just truly evil or STUPID! It would take and idiot to go to one of these meetings. How stupid can a person be... All adults have access to prime time tv or most do and should know that they are going to get caught. I think when something like this happens that they need to cut their "JUNK" off and that way they won't be able to use it to hurt another child! Then incarcerate them and tell the whole prison population what the predator done to the child. Then he will get his just come upins' as us country folk call it!!!

I think this operation was a success. Jeb if you think that no one showing up to the house would be more of a success then you are wrong. It could just mean that they didn't show up because they decided to go to a different house or in a different county. PJ and Dateline are not doing these shows to get ratings they are doing it to make us more aware of whats going on in the world and letting parents know that they need to be more responsible when it comes to their children on the internet or being left home alone long enough to invite someone into their home. Parents need to talk to their children more and let them know that their are sick people out there in the world and that they shouldn't be on the internet trying to meet people that they don't know let alone giving them an invite to meet them in person. So yeh I am glad that PJ were able to catch a few out of maybe millions its a start. Maybe they saved someone from being hurt or killed that weekend.

What i realy dont understand is why the fathers of these kids not going to jail? Because if it was my kid, I would be looking at a murder charge and he would be in the grave yard.

Yep...the end times are near. 50 years ago, child sex abuse was much, much, much more common -- but we didn't get to be entertained by it in the news. Now we can take the predators out for a public flogging on tv for our entertainment. BTW, it'll make the christians happy to know that Muhammed deflowered his 9 year old bride (check it out -- it's true!).

My question- Why do these sick (edited) need to go to court they are guilty as hell when they come to see a kid and think they are there to have sex with them .My answer- Take the sick (edited) out and put them in front of a fireing squad and make it plain to the world we dont wount to put up with this kind of crap then it will slow down a lot and who knows it might even make a differance.but nothing is going to work if all we do is let them off for a little fine and a month or 2 in jail all that does is give them time to think how to get away with it when they try the next time.lets stand up and be somebody and take care of our kids now tommoro may be to late think about it.i have tryed to post comments on here before and mine was not put on is my ideal to harsh of a punishment for these low lifes hay before you refuse to post my comment try to put your self in some poor scared little kids place and think how they must feel when this crap is happen to them .my name is charles hubbard .

"Way to go PJ! Too bad this one wasn't on Dateline" What you mean to say is it wasn't on Dateline YET. This was a TCAP situation. Duane assuming it's true the PJ spokesman used anti-pyscotic drugs, it sounds to me like s/he has taken control of his/her life and is doing something constructive. Why is that an issue with you?

I believe what these people did was wrong and the should be prosecuted. However, it is very sad that dateline NBC and Cris Hansen use this as a way to get ratings for their show. Have the police set up a sting but it is a little sick that NBC is using this to profit.
