Bomb Threat Temporarily Closes 39th Judicial Circuit

Three eastern Kentucky judicial centers were briefly evacuated after emergency officials say a bomb threat was called in Monday morning.

Police say someone called the Breathitt County Circuit Clerk and threatened the entire 39th Judicial Circuit.

That circuit includes Breathitt, Wolfe and Powell Counties.

Officials say the man on the phone claimed something would happen between six and eight o'clock Monday night in the three counties, but police say everything in Jackson was cleared after the call.

All court proceedings resumed by noon.
