Staph Shuts Down School

Schools in Morgan County are closed Wednesday after a high school student is diagnosed with staph infection.

School officials tell 27NEWSFIRST all the school buildings and buses are being disinfected as a precaution. No word on if the student is in the hospital.

Children are MUCH more important than money! Shut down the schools, clean them. You will save alot more money in the end.You get more money fron a live child than a dead one.Think of the children for a change!

staph has been around a lot longer then a year.By the way Tammi staph is all over your house- you must not care enough to spray. I guess none of us do because staph is everywhere.

Staph has been in our county for a while too, but the educators are too ignorant to shut things down and disinfect. It's not a major concern to them. But, let one of their children get an infection and see how fast things turn around!!!

staph has been going around our county for a year or more and its just now getting attention! my daughter had a case of it in july of this year. i personally know of other people that have had it and our local nurse mentioned in august that it's going around. we originally thought my daughter was bitten by a spider.
